Used to be you’d buy your daughter a big car to put as much mass between her and the idiots on the road. These days, everything has so many airbags and safety tech, it’s not as important. Still, it’s good to remember there are bad cars out there.

Definitely. W e passed up on a 4 door Neon my wife was ready to pull the trigger on because it was one of the most da ngerous cars on the road in its day. My wife’s first car was an early 80' D elta 88, and I’ve talked her out of putting our daughter in the largest car in our budget.

My grandfather bought my mom a big Olds. These days, there are smaller but safer cars than a 30 year old Delta.
